Alternator 100 Amp High Output 240Z 260Z 280Z 70-78

Datsun 240Z, 260Z, 280Z alternator upgrade. New 100amp high output alternator conversion for Datsun 240Z, 260Z & 280Z 1970-78. This is a GM style alternator that requires only 1- wire hookup. This alternator can be installed in the stock location with only modifying the lower bracket (This is not a stock replacement, requires modification). Manufacturer claims 100-110 amp. One wire hookup requries no modifications to the stock wiring harness or if you are doing a custom install all you need is one wire from the battery directly to the alternator.

New hardware to complete the install is included. Instructions on how to modify the lower bracket will be included. A longer than stock belt is usually necessary.

Custom billet aluminum lower mount for the GM alternator can be purchased separate.

This alternator will not charge below 2400 alternator rpm, or about 800 engine rpm.  A smaller pulley can be used on the alternator for charging under 800 engine rpm.  The charge wire from the alternator to the battery should be 8 gauge.  

Available in satin or chrome housing.
