New/Reman Alternator for Datsun 240Z, 260Z , 280Z and 510, 1970-77. Stock replacement, 60 amp. This alternator is a stock replacement for 1970-77 which require an external regulator. The 1978-80 alternator has a built in regulator which some Z owners like to convert over to in order to simplify things and get rid of the voltage regulator. Choose from Standard (not Hitachi) or Hitachi housing. Standard housings have no distinct markings on them where the Hitachi housing is cast into it like the one pictured. No core required*.
*1968-early 1970 510 has a different connector.
